Old Bridge in Mostar - Bosnia

This bridge was the border between two of the warring factions in the civil war that broke up Yugoslavia.  Finally the side on one side of the river felt so threatened by their opponents, that they blew up this old landmark bridge to save their lives. After the war ended and everything settled down to normal, they rebuilt the bridge. So like many old landmarks in Europe this is another one that is actually new.
