Kochloeffel

This scene is a street in Noerdlingen in Germany in the fall. This particular town has such charm and so many sights for paintings, that I have done several already, and I expect to add more to this collection. It is a small town in southern Germany, which still has it's medieval wall and the various entry gates intact. In the basement of one of the restaurants the owner showed me a portion of an ancient Roman wall, that predates the town wall. I have painted the market day activities in two paintings as well as an old water grain mill. I have lots more photographs which eventually will turn to paintings, too. I think this will be my favorite subject location. There is also a story about the name of the restaurant, that I will tell another time.
